Weekly Roundup 1/29/22
Weekly Roundup 1/29/22

If there’s one thing I’m most grateful for on the weekend, it’s sleeping in. After 5 days straight of being woken up before the sun, I am ready to lay in bed and forget about responsibilities for two days. The only thing prying my zombie ass out of bed is that Saturday morning tee time and the promise of my buddies waiting with a 6-pack. Here’s an excuse to lay around a little while longer with everything you missed this week…

Same Every Time

One of the hardest things to do in golf is hit the ball in the exact same spot every time you hit. There’s a reason why people spray foot spray on their clubfaces. In accordance with National Hole-in-One Registry estimates, the chances of a professional golfer making a hole in one are roughly three thousand to one. The odds of winning are approximately 12,000-to-1 for average players.

There’s a New Robot Caddie & We Must Have It

The robot golf bag knows where you are on the course, what the wind is like, and whether or not you’re playing uphill, much like a real caddy, but without the need to buy it a beer or engage in conversation after you’ve finished your round. It can then suggest the use of a club before unleashing a burst of compressed air from a revolver-like cylinder on the target. It’s possible that you’ll catch it if you’re in the right place at the right time.

The Bird

Being robbed of a putt is one of the most frustrating feelings a golfer can experience. The cup simply grabs your shot and flings it out of its reach. Almost as if the bird is teasing you and flipping the bird when no one is looking, lol.
