Happy Saturday Weekend Warriors! Our goal is to spend as much time on the course as possible for the next two days. With the time change tomorrow, there will be even less daylight hours so there will be slim pickings for those after work rounds. Plus, it’s the time of year when the weather likes to screw up your golf plans at the most inconvenient times. So, before we try to go cram in as much as we can in the next 36 hours, check out what you missed this week…
5 Stupid Shots Every Golfer Has Tried
Golfers are an optimistic bunch overall. For many of us, no matter how many times we leave the course completely and utterly defeated after a terrible round. Yet we are back out there the very next day to do it all again. Then, there are all the hacks we think will somehow improve our game. You’ll try to bomb it like Bryson which works maybe 1 time out of 10, and usually just end up under a tree somewhere.

Distance Check
A good golfer, or at least one who thinks they are, will methodically plan out each shot. Technology has helped make this even easier. Rangefinders are valuable to those of us who are familiar with our distances. It’s good practice to always do a quick check and this guy takes his pre-shot routine very seriously…

Outta Sight
We’ve all been in a similar situation at one point or another. Rarely does it end well because let’s face it, when all you can think about is not hitting the column… you hit the column. Beware, there is a reason they tell you to keep your eye on the ball. If it flies outta sight, run for cover. Those things can come flying back at you out of nowhere.

Bortles Game Interrupted
In sports news this week, Aaron Rodgers was forced to sit the next game out after due to a bout of Covid. The Green Bay Packers called up Jason Bortles to step up in his place. Bortles was enjoying some time on the course when he got the call. Normally, anyone would be stoked to fill in as QB for Rodgers, but Bortles was on a lucky streak. Would you be disappointed?

It seems as though there are so many times we hit an amazing shot, but no one is around to see it. Then, when you go brag to your buddies, they don’t believe you. They tell you to put your money where your mouth is, but you crumble under the pressure. Until one day, magic happens. You hit that amazing chip in and even surprised yourself. The best part is the guys were all there to witness the splendor. Who’s buying the drinks?
